Surrounding beauties
Hostýn mountains are formed by wooded highlands, located in the eastern Moravia, region Zlín, to the north of Zlín. The highlands are a part of western flysh Karpathian with its highest peak Kelčský Javorník (865m). The highlands are named after striking peak and pilgrimage place Hostýn (735m) stretching above Bystřice pod Hostýnem. Although, the mountains don't reach the height even not seize of other mountain massives in our country, it is used to being looked up by nature lovers especially from Zlín and Kroměříž. Hostýn mountains attract us not only by their undemanding hiking trails but also cycle tracks of different levels intended for track or mountain bikes. In winter tourists can enjoy downhillskiing in the ski resorts such as Troják and Tesák, also cross-country skiing on the long ridges with low height differences. All year round Hostyn mountains are opened to those who prefer lonely walks in the vast forests or sunny meadows with straggling Wallachian cottages.
A couple of reasons why to visit us also in winter
Ski centre Rusava, 2 km far from our cottage. In the ski centre there are three ski slopes, including two parallel slopes type KV 400 a TATRAPOMA for adults of length 387m a 417m and one children slope of length 100m. Carriage slope capacity is 1200 people per hour. Approximate angle of slope is 11 grades. The slope is suitable especially for families with children and beginning skiers or snowboarders, but considering segmentation of the terrain it is also suitable for advanced skiers.

Ski areál Troják, 20 km far from the cottage. 5 ski slopes have the capacity of 2200 people per hour. Ski centre satisfies thanks to its terrains families with children, beginning skiers and advanced skiers.Ski area of the Troják ridge also enables cross-country skiing.
